Memory problem, please help!

Hey all,

Ill get straight to the point, i have been running 2gb of ram in my computer for a while, i recently loaded up the system information on my computer and it says that only have 1.75gb of ram, but in CPUZ it says i have 2048mb. On the post boot screen it says i have 1.75gb. I have no idea why this has suddenly lost 250mb of ram.

If i take out 1 stick it says i have 1gb of ram, if i put the other stick in, it says i have 1gb, so they both seem to be ok on there own, its just wen i put them together.

Processor - AMD 3700
Memory - 2gb Patriot
Motherboard - DFI Lanparty SLi-D

Looks weird. No on board graphics i take it. Too lazy too google it.

nope, not onboard graphics, i been searching around and there doesnt seemt o be much help on this , any ideas ?

Check for a BIOS update? might help.

Have you updated your Bios?

Check your Bios settings, memory hole remapping etc from the user manual

You could reloading optimized defaults and then set up Bios again
