For the last year or so I have been having real problems with my memory, and I have no idea why. I am not getting toooo old (23), I dont eat too brilliantly, but I do exercise a bit. Is there any kind of vitamin lack that could cause something like this?

Its basically stupid things like I remmeber everything I said to everyone I just cant remember WHO I said which bits to. Or I cant remember the name of a program I watched an hour ago. Its all in my mind somewhere but it takes strain to remember.

23!

You old man - not!

I have to right things down now.. I have a "Huddys to do" book I keep with me. cos I forget a lot. :)

Mine is down to having just a onion for a brian which is starting to pickle a bit :)

I wouldnt mind so much if it was long term stuff, like remembering to do stuff from yesterday. But tis everyday little things, and short term stuff. I am getting comments about it too, its bad!

Oxygene

I have exactly the same problem mate, and have no idea what to do about it :(

Would more than welcome any vitamin/ diet advice to try and help combat this problem.

welcome to my world, i keep forgetting things as well, my memory is going down hill, which is kinda bad considering im only 19!

Omega 3(Which can be found it oily fish such as slamon, sardines, mackrell etc) can help the brain and memory. I have just come to accept that my short term memory is pretty poor, so now I rely on writing things down on post it notes. :)

Entirely unproven and likely to be a false claim.

See bad science for information.

change the vinegar, it apparently helps with synaptic transfer conductivity ;) :p

I get the same thing (19). Do you get enough sleep ? I find that the more sleep I get the better my memory goes. I couldn't tell you what I was doing an hour ago btw, but work sucks.

yeah I keep discounting something as simple as sleep. I havent had more then one night I would call good in ages. Sleep-wise that is :p I moved in to a new house recently and am getting nused ot having my bedroom window a metre from the main road. But I had this for a while, so not sure if its that.

Well maybe its cause I havent had alchohol in months! Roll on freshers week!

nopes, havent touched drugs in my life :( Unless you count passive smoking the stuff, but havent done that in a year!

There are supposedly tablets that will open up your mind and make you more alert which may possibly lead to being more able to remember things. I know of Gingko Biloba and Ginseng.

I have had this same problem since I was 18, just an hour ago i met 3 people, I only remember the name of 1 and thats because I met her before.

I will go to the shop buy everything I dont need but forget the one thing I actualy went for.

I will pack all my shopping up but forget to pick up my paper and have someone run after me to give it me.

I will see a program I want to watch, and then forget untill its to late.

I Can run out of sugar in the sugar dish, and by the time I get to my cupboard to get a bag out I have forgoten why I am in the cupboard in the first place.

Now since I have been sleeping better my memory has improved, but she is still quite bad.

Tis most anoying as well..... I Still dont know what one of my flat mates is called
