Hi im having problems making my Asus P8Z77-V LX boot up into bios.

I think it might be due to my memory.

I have Kingston KHX1600C9AD3B1K2/4G memory.

The memok! light on the motherboard is constantly on red.

Could someone please advise me if this memory is ok? and could if not ok advise me what memory i need to purchase?

Kind regards,

The Kingston should work fine with your motherboard, have you tried various slots and running a single module.

Tried doing a CMOS reset and check the CPU socket for bent pins - bit of a pain but this could course issues.

What is your full spec?

running latest bios? do you still have old memory then you can flash to latest bios and then try the kingston

Hi pins seem ok, but the CPU looks as if one of corners has been bent.

Can you please advise?

that's very badly bent

the cpu wont be making very good contact with the pins on that corner hence the memory issues due to the integrated memory controller inside the cpu

idk if you could carefully bend it straight again without damaging the chip? maybe applying some gentle heat with a hairdryer?
