Heh, I remember old threads debating whether burkhas should be banned in public. Many people including myself pointed out the danger of allowing items of clothing that obscure the face to become commonplace but the usual muppets shouted that there's no problem and that the criminal classes would not wear burkhas.

For the record I'd like to see a ban on obscuring face in public which would apply to burkhas, balaclavas and hoodies.

Presumably they weren't just carrying the axes in their hands when they went into the store. In this case the burka is an ideal costume, as you could conceal pretty much anything under it.

Sorry, I meant actually using the hood. I mean, a hoodie isn't generally waterproof so don't bother countering with the rain argument and you can't deny that the criminal classes use them to obscure their faces.

And as said, the burka certainly looks like it was designed to hide a person so well that you can barely tell a man from a woman, it's actually surprising more criminals don't wear them. Maybe they will now.
