Well, the car had 2012's front wing on it for launch but apparently the new wing is very different according to James's article. He even says that the car has been built around a new 5 element front wing that was not on display... could be marketing bull, but we will have to see

Pretty sure Gary makes no mention of any of that, just looks as what is there and doesn't really like it (understandable)

I think it is important that Merc focus on the more core aerodynamic areas to make a solid car, rather than the facy DDRS and other gimics

remember the gills in 2011 lol, 2012 was rhe year of burnt bodywork but they managed to survive somehow.

It;s wierd becaue merc seem to have pretty beefy sidepods compared to how slimline everyone else is

Hamiltons wheel apparently he has six buttons removed because he felt they weren't needed

Compared to the old Merc. wheels I've just Googled, it looks like he's blanked a few buttons/dials off and changed some of the colour coding. They have stuff behind the wheel though which that doesn't illustrate, so maybe more changes there.

DRS because that always fails
Kers as above
Pitlane speed limiter because they are not expecting to last the first stint
Radio because no one want's to hear him scream
Fuel saving modes, again no expecting to get near the end anyway
Shift paddles because only 3rd gear will work anyway

All swapped in favour of 6 reset buttons.

Theres some jokes in there about buttons only Schumacher would have used, but I'm failing to think of any at the moment.

Cant think of any funny joke about it though

Anyway hopefully lewis gets a car better than this one.

It almost looks like schumacher is driving in the wet on a dry track, no downforce and grip at all

Anyone who doesn't understand how crap the merc was should watch that vid

That does look bad! To be fair to Merc though, everybody was struggling with the grip levels in the dust on the Austin track.
