Mercenaries 2: World in Flames

Decided to just ignore the resolution issue, and poor graphics, and just play the game. Absolutly great:D Just makes it even worse that they messed up the PC port.

If you haven't got it yet, get it once the resolution issues are sorted. Nice bit of fun this:)
 
seems woeful, terrible targetting system, if you crouch and shoot a single shot at a time, or hold down a fully auto gun you get the same chance of hitting the target, I utterly hate games that you can't get an accurate shot in no matter what you do.

Graphics are hilariously bad. It seems to run fairly badly on my 3870x2 with AA enabled, without its not so bad, though messed with several settings, at 1920x1080, motion blur seemed to make it very laggy aswell and seems to run better without.

Its just stupid, awful controls, crappy aiming, pathetically stupid story line(so far), completely unoriginal, terrible AI and nothing much going for it at all.

Glad I cancelled my £27 pre-order after seeing those awful HD trailers on gametrailers. The PS2 level gfx really are a bad joke. Early September always seems to be a dumping ground for poor games as they save the better ones for late Sept/Oct/Nov nowadays.

The thing i hate about these style of games is the shooting, its just not fun to unload a whole clip to kill one guy, because no matter what you do its randomly going anywhere. Then to adjust for crapping targetting, they make the AI so ridiculously stupid so they don't kill you, its just not fun. Difficult AI who are an actual threat and realistic aiming are really the very minimum needed for a fun experience in a combat game.
 
i decided im only going to buy it after i see some decent patches or a working mod. dont seem like its worth £30.
 
bad graphics and it wont let me have my proper resolution but seems like a fun game :)

but 1 more bad thing, every game ive played for last 19 years and 9 months as told you when you first start what buttons to press in certain places, this doesn't

when you get to that tank in the building, and you have to jump on it what buttons do you have to press? he jut keep getting out and shooting me
 
When you are in the van its the reload key to take out the driver. If only this was a GFW title we wouldnt have these issues sans framerate.
 
Thanks for your help..;) now got used to keys/controls I'm really enjoying this game :D graphics/effects and gameplay are excellent, at the moment stealing money from factions via helicopters...:cool:
