What do you guys not like about live? I hate it after its initial instal but after applying the mess patch/a-patch and what not, just stripping it back to barely anything it functions the same as 7.5 and i don't get moaned at and ( according to MS) it deosn't suffer from the same vunerabilities (hard to prove i guess).

Brilliant find! I've tried Pidgin before and had one or two little problems. Finding a decent smilies pack and getting them to work was one problem. I will try this tomorrow.

Its just rubbish, the layout, its sluggish, the naff backgrounds its got, green ppl, the list goes on, much prefer the little blue cluedo ppl

I use Windows Messenger 4.7 and I detest all MSN branded incarnations of the messenger.

Just to make people aware.. and it may change peoples mind and get them to install live and a-patch it you can make it look pretty similar to 6.2 (which i used until i was FORCED to update ¬_¬)

UPDATE:

Just tried MSN 7.0 again using Windows 2000 Compatability, but this time when it repairs it wont sign in, have to get Live now, so they've stopped that working now

, so Pidgin it is, or Trilllian pro for me now.

False alarm, i thought id try saying yes to the update just to see what it does, and it just downloads msn 7 again, and reinstalls it.

I've been quite happy with WLM 8.5 and apatch. Much better than WLM 8 anyway.

Although it looks like 8.5 is out of beta and no apatch for it just yet...

Didn't work for me, said it can only run on XP and up. :confused:
