how the hell will they fit a game thats ment to be using the whole 50gb on blu ray onto a dvd9?

The fit 5 games onto one with The Orange Box or all of Mass Effect on one.
Blu-Ray has limitations which have been mentioned on several games such as Lair, Resistance and Oblivion with data being repeated on disc, multiple usages of textures (the same textures being duplicated per level as opposed to one file) because of read speeds etc... Where as DVD9 doesn't have this problem.
It's possible they could use a couple of discs if needed too.

oh ok, thats ok then, theres a chance that it might come out on 360.

I don't think people are expecting it to ever NOT appear on Xbox360, I believe all the doubt was in release to a simultaneous release..

Who cares, any half serious gamer will own both consoles if not already then sometime during 2008 as PS3 will start and have a good range of its own exclusives this year, besides that Blu Ray is great for movies

i have to say i agree. Ive not been too impressed with any video/gameplay clip from mgs4. It looks ok i guess but nothing spectacular.

How dare you all :| MGS4 looks set to be the best of the series! Especially since they have Ryan Payton, who's been addressing a lot of the issues with gameplay and dialogue in the past installments.

According to that rumor, it's still a whole year. That is still enough to cement favourable attitudes to the PS3 version. I know I'll be buying the PS3 game the day it comes out.

I wouldn't be surprised if the game eventually did come out on 360; look at the past releases in the series, as well as the situation with the relatively small installed base of the PS3 combined with the development costs. It just makes it all the more likely that we will see a multiplatform release in the future.

wether or not this is true, does'nt bother me. But if the game is any near as good as the first with what I've seen on the preview videos this is going to be a very ground braking game!!!

Yawn , the only thing for certain at this time is that it is a ps3 release, has been built from the ground up for the ps3 and not one member of kojima productions nor konami have ever stated that there is a 360 version planned or in production.

So for the foreseeable future if you want to play MGS4 then you will need a ps3, for 360 owners who like MGS and can not afford to or do not want to buy another console I hope for them that a version appears at some stage in the 360 lifespan ....... but in all honesty a lot of these rumours seem to be attempts to try and damage some of the hype surrounding these AAA ps3 exclusives, mostly by misguided and misinformed xbox fansites.

Orange Box is nothing impressive surely.. My steam fold takes up 16gb with css, hl2dm, hl2, hl2 ep1, hl2 ep2, tf2, and Portal I don't think metal gear will be coming to 360 least hope not cause its the only reason why i got a ps3 lol

If you see the Raiden and Vampire trailer, you'll take that homosexual comment back. It was one of the most homoerotic scenes I have ever seen in any video game. Embracing, grunting, heavy breathing and a lot of homosexual innuendo, complete with a sword being driven through Raiden accompanied by orgasmic moaning by both sides. I am not kidding or exaggerating at all.

Anyways, the article says that the 360 version apparently has been in production since early 2007. Well unless Mr Kojima is very ill-informed, I don't think this is the case http://kotaku.com/gaming/port-update/mgs4-still-being-built-on-ps3-hardware-261471.php

What's more, I haven't even seen this site Xbox-Family before :S They could be doing it for attention for all we know.

And why the hell am I even concerned about this?
