Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes

For a cross gen game this game looks amazing.

1080P 60FPS videos are up on Gamersyde.

Glad I don't have to play that at 720P..

It's not your traditional cross gen game though, to his credit (and to the credit of the engine being used) he created it with the PS4 in mind, hence why that's 1080p 60FPS, it's then been scaled down for other hardware.

MGS V: PP is going to look stunning.

I speed ran MGS4 on hardest difficulty in just over an hour. And that game was 20+ hours on my first play through. So that 10 minute speedrun doesn't mean much.

It's good to see some people have some common sense. All the YT & review comments have been the same old rubbish outcry. Sure it's been done in 10 minutes but how many times did they play to get it down to that point and that's still doesn't include the side missions etc in to the play time.

Not to sound like a fanboy as I have a PS4 and an XB1 but just watched that version comparison video on Konami's website (there's a link on the page to download the high res version from gametrailers, it's about 400mb) and I have to say, I didn't notice a massive difference between the Xbox 360 and XB1 version. The PS4 version does look so much better than the others. It's a shame they couldn't get the XB1 to output 1080p at 60fps. I wonder if they will for the Phantom Pain.

Copy came with a code for some items for Phantom Pain (which I cannot redeem on PS4 atm :p), but so far I'm enjoying it... fell off the cliff though xD, pressed the wrong button and just let go haha

I'm a huge fan of msg but I think I will wait and get a second hand copy. Has anyone play end peace maker HD what is it like compared to 1-4

Peace Walker HD is very good, to me its up there with the other metal gear games. Not sure how I would rate the whole metal gear series but I'll give it a go.

MGS3
MGS4
MGS1
Peacewalker
MGS2

I too love the MGS games, however I prefer Solid Snake to Big Boss, was hoping Phantom Pain was going to be a sequel to MGS4 rather than a sequel to Peacewalker.

The saddest part about this is "minimal cutscenes and codec calls as you move."

I wouldn't worry too much.

My copy turned up today and i've spend a good 2 hours playing just now.

Its definitely still got that Metal Gear feel to it. Even though there aren't many cutscenes in this "demo" the opening one is quite lengthy and very impressively cinematic in true Metal Gear fashion.

I get the feeling they didn't want to go too mad on story parts as ultimately they just wanted to show off the new sandbox style gameplay and more of a teaser for the main game then anything.

I like the new stealth mechanics its a lot more organic then having a radar with a cone on it! :)

It definitely borrows quite a bit from Peace Walker in terms of the semi open world feel but just expands on it i.e. bigger, more options on how to complete missions, more fluid controls etc.

Got my PS4 with Second Son and MGS Arriving today, CANT WAIT!

MGS is one of my fav games of all time..... will take me away from LoL for a while hehe :)

Completed it last night (not done it on hard, or any side missions yet).

I loved it. It's worth noting I also got my PS4 last night so was also getting used to the new 'shiny' of it.

But yeh, gameplay wise superb :) Unfortunately I'd seen pretty much all the cutscenes in some form through trailers, but there isn't much of them anyway. The controls are great though, Snakes actions are very fluid and the options are vast... though I miss knocking on walls! Also the lack of David Hayter was pretty noticable... snake probably sounds a touch younger since Peace Walker.

It took me a couple hours, and lot's of restarting as I'm a perfectionist. I will certainly be playing this many times over to see the different possibilities.

It's also very playable through the Vita's remote play which is awesome.

Gameplay and content wise, are both Xbox One and PS4 the same?

Pretty much the same. PS4 is at 1080p while XBone is 720p. PS4 has an exclusive MGS1 Deja Vu mission, while XBone has an exclusive Raiden kinda mission. There are trailers for these you can check out.

Cheers, I knew about the graphical differences but glad to hear nothing else really.
