The "Golden Circle" was great.... I had all the room I needed to play my air guitar !! :D
 
They didn't play Whickey In the Jar because there was enough peepee in the jar flying around in the audience!?! :eek:

They were amazing apart from the Golden Showers! :eek:

Rob's Bass solo and then into Orion was the highlight. When the 3 guitarist all stood up behind Lars. :cool: :cool: :cool:
 
Just got back from London...

The first 2000 people through the door got in the golden circle, that was the only way to get in there. Many were there since the early hours to get in. To be honest I'm glad I wasn't in there myself, seemed too empty. Nice and packed is the only way :D

Totally awesome evening, both Machine Head and of course Metallica completely kicked ass. Mastodon were ok, HIM sucked. I didn't mind though, as during HIM I was a little occupied...

So you got a wristband to get into the golden circle yea? did they hand them out to the first 2000 or did you have to go somewhere? Just so i know for future gigs there.

Machine Heads new album is ******* amazing. Only got hold of it last month the week before DownloadFest. Been Listening to it lots!

Can't remember his exact words, but he was having a little dig at the security dude (guy with the headset on at bottom of pic) as they were just making the crowd (which was calm and civilized) a whole lot worse. That plus he just kicks ass :p Notice the strange look the dude on the right is giving to the security guy, as if to say **** off!

The first 2000 people who where physically let into the stadium and who wanted one got the special wristband which let you in. People were literally queuing up since the early hours to get in there. I didn't get in myself, only arrived 10 mins before Mastodon came on, just enough time to grab a beer :D at £3.50 a pint :rolleyes:

And yea the new album really is good :cool:

I must have been near you I reckon, there was a mad bloke spinning round and round playing air guitar to the back of the gold circle just to the left of centre of the stage (whilst looking at it) with some wasted kid on sitting on the floor....

I think I know the dude you mean..... he was 40 or 50..... I was a tad more stylish than he ;)

I think this guy was 20's or 30's in a blue top..

The guy cracking me up was a muscely (sp) guy with a MoP Tshirt on and a baseball cap on backwards, who was taunting the people in the main crowd :D he was running around like a nutter :D

What was with the guy holding the small russioan flag that was running around at the back of the circle as well :p He seemed like he'd been let of prison for the day or something :D
 
my missus just saw this and said to me "we've been together 6 years and you've never framed a picture of us..... but like a 15 year old you frame that"......

Metallica have been my favourite band since ......And Justice came out.... although the last 4 albums weren't up there with the best, I still rate them....

for the concert I expected great things.... and they just went a few levels above and beyond...

should have some pics to upload tonight...

If you check you tube you can find out why, Het said something a bit rude at the start of it ;)

They were awesome at Wembley, just untouchable really. Well impressed all over again.
