metro 2033 mare

Well I jumped the gun with Deepsilver they may answer better than Steam but they are just as bloody dumb. Still not got it working and I am getting to the ready to punch the screen phase lol.

Will wait and see what they have to say from the email response I sent today hope I don't need to do that really.

It's not hard, but if you're worried, you could buy/borrow another hard drive to test with. If you unplug your existing Windows drive it won't be at all altered, and you can try a fresh copy of Windows and see if it resolves the issue.

Alternatively, get someone else to do it for you.

Ok going to have to try the OS reinstall at weekend deepsilver are being mega dumb last 3 emails asking me to do the same bloody thing which I had done. Got to say my last reply wasn't very nice so I doubt I will get a answer again.

it won't work I have another THQ title which has stopped workign recently :/ around the same time OP was having problems it's a THQ/Steam issue I think...

Did this ever get sorted Apem?

Havent read the whole thread but I solved my Metro 2033 crashes by unplugging USB peripherals. In particular, my USB head set. Apparently users have found a bug where the game dosent like USB head sets. I resorted to good old fashion 3.5mm stereo jack headhphones and havent had problems since.
