Metro Last Light - Thread

Looking forward to this. Metro 2033 was a great example of an on-rails scripted shooter that has been done really well gameplay wise. Story could have been better though. Going to need an upgrade to make the most of the eye-candy I think.

Metro was OK....but im sorry people keep banging on about how visually impressive it is...its not! You only need a beast of a machine because it hasnt been properly developed.

The best thing i liked about the game was the atmosphere. I didnt find it ground breaking in anyway....maybe thats just me though.

Just because it was poorly coded doesn't mean it's not visually impressive.

Despite being released 2 years ago - it is still the most visually impressive game on the PC! It still runs like a dog, but non-optimised code != unimpressive to look at.

Metro 2033 failed pretty hard when you consider what it SHOULD have gotten for being such a great game. That is what happens though when your a small company from Ukraine and can't afford to slip some money in the pockets of reviewers like all the big names. :(

Last Light looks like it could be the best FPS ever made, it just needs some kind of multiplayer, because a studio like 4A wont derp up the single player because they try too hard on the multiplayer ala 2K with Bioshock 2, I think they'd do an amazing job of it! :)

Still need to complete 2033 but this should be good. My only complaint about the first game is that I would have liked to have played it in Russian with English subtitles instead of the horrendous accents when listening to the english version. Why would I want to play in the same language as the subtitles?!?
