really want a DNF for Nico and a win for Hamilton this weekend,
im not really bothered about Hamilton winning the championship... i just dont want Nico to win it :p

I'd like to see Max and Nico to have a little "incident", that is one way of getting a DNF, we know they are both rather hot headed at times with how one attacks and one defends...

Wouldn't say Max is hot headed at all. He is in full control at all times.

Yeah but is what I mean is the way Rosberg overtakes, remember him hitting Kimi a couple of races ago and getting a 10 second penalty, all I'm saying is it needs Rosberg to do that to Max and Max to defend the way he normally does :)

Found this interesting...

Engine power is a big part of the game at the Autodromo Hemanos Rodriguez, mid-to-high speed cornering much less so. Mercedes is known to have restricted its engine’s performance in the wake of Hamilton’s costly blow-up in Malaysia.

Anyone got more info on this? Seems a bit excessive.

They changed the oil to a slightly higher viscosity and as far as I have heard, changed the engine maps slightly at the higher performance modes and restricted the amount of full wellie they can use. They're just protecting the entire power unit for the rest of the year.

The issue Hamilton had can't be fixed this year as all the engines are now in use so it's a fix for 2017, however, that was the first failure of that type for Mercedes iirc.

Could we possibly see the Redbulls and Ferraris push the Mercs? Certainly looked that way in Q1, all four between Lewis on pole and Nicola 6th.

Push for pole, yes, I still feel like Hamilton will come out and take it, but I think the crucial thing here is the closer it is, the more this seeming lack of pace from Rosberg could mean Hamilton on the front row and Rosberg potentially on the 3rd row of the grid.

We didn't see great over taking despite the ludicrous straight last year, so... this could be the race we might see Hamilton win and Rosberg come 4th or something which for the championship would be excellent.

Rosberg was down 6/10ths after two sectors, seems same at the end. Vettel going to get a penalty for that, which, hurts Hamilton.

If Hamilton does get pole with Rosberg get 4-5 places down then Vettel actually starting between them without a penalty is stupidly important.

Rosberg doing a second run, still 4/10ths down after one sector. Unless a bunch of those guys come out on supersofts and find a second I can't see any chance he won't go through, but it's just reinforcing that he's extremely unlikely to get in the top 2 or 3 in Q3.
