Michael Schumacher seriously injured

Been mentioned in the last page or two of the other thread but deserves its own.

Hope he pulls through.

Yeah I was on the bbc site earlier and someone was quoting it to not a be a serious thing, thought it was a shame anyhow and now its pretty bad :[

I have always feared something like this happening. I seriously hope he gets better :(

Lets just remember what happened to Felipe Massa and he made a full recovery. Lets hope for the same.

What, a coma? I was sure that it was "concious and talking" earlier? Doesn't sound good, but I hope he comes out of it ok.

Jensen Button and Heikki Kovalainen have tweeted their best wishes, Button saying that if anyone can pull through this, Schumacher can.

What about Simoncelli though? He was also apparently lucid and talking.

Brains are funny old things when they get a serious knock, these things really can go either way.

Yep they are. My grandad's had 3 strokes and a brain haemorrage (sp?) - he had both together and was incredibly close to dying. He was back playing golf 5 weeks later and you'd think nothing was ever wrong with him!

Ross Brawn is holding a press conference tomorrow at 10am GMT. That's not good - you'd expect family or his manager to do it rather than a personal friend, which is all Brawn is to Schumacher now.

Family probably trust Ross to handle any press better than they could.
