Google translate..
Michael Schumacher (46) crashed two years ago while skiing with his head on a rock, 159 days he lay in an artificial coma. Since September 2014 cares in his villa on Lake Geneva, a top team of doctors and therapists around him. But now there is a new ray of hope. More than that, it's a Christmas miracle!

How COLORFUL has learned exclusively, the sports hero is making progress in recovery. "Michael is very thin. But he can again run a little help of his therapist. He manages to walk a few steps. Even his arm he can raise, "says a confidant of the magazine.

Possibly awesome news!!!

EDIT*
Apparently BULL****. Grrrrrrr ****ing gutter press :( WHY!!

Yep.. FFS. :(
Schumacher's manager Sabine Kehm, who has spoken on behalf of the family since the accident, denied the report published in German magazine Bunte, saying it raised "false hopes".

According to the magazine, the former world champion had experienced a "Christmas miracle" and was both walking and able to raise his arms.
"Unfortunately, we are forced ... to clarify that the assertion that Michael could move again is not true," Kehm said.
"Such speculation is irresponsible, because given the seriousness of his injuries, Michael's privacy is very important for him. Unfortunately they also give false hopes to many people involved."

I saw the doctor reporting it was false and irresponsible journalism. Before I even new such a report existed.

Should have let him die, that's the problem with modern medicine, it's almost to good in some areas. And it's things like this that I would love to have a living will to stop treatment in such scenarios.

This is one of those threads I'm Subbed to that I want to see lift to the top of the page for the right reason & it's so Gutting when it's lifted for all the wrong reasons.
A World with Schumi not right in it will Never be alright by me. :(

My hopes jumped then fell reading that. :/

Then I thought, how can they get this information. He's only with family and tightly locked down so how could news get out.... As he's in a special area within their home that cost many millions.

I was really pleased reading that report the other day and then found out it was bunk. Wish people would stop making this stuff up!

I kind of agree with this. If im stuck in bed, unable to talk, move, see the world etc why LIVE with no LIFE? Modern medicine is great, but why keep "dead" people alive. Like Julies they kept him alive for how long? Why? He's brain was dead the moment it hit that truck.

The difference is Schumacher is responsive to stimuli and has shown improvement whereas Bianchi was a potato, in every sense.

Perhaps there is truth to the story and this Sabine Kehm is just playing it down, who knows. Wishing him all the best either way.

Doubtful IMO - his injuries assuming any significant recovery even happens will take years before he is even close to making basic movements for himself let alone walking.

Not exactly something to hope for but hopefully its more along the lines of its going to take longer for recovery rather than a turn for the worst.

A part of me wishes (as bad as it sounds) that it had never got to this stage. It pains me to think a man that was the pinnacle of motorsport is now in a state where he can't do anything.

:(

makes you wonder what it must be like to live in the state that he is, must be awful, he probably doesn't even recognise who he was or what he was. Must be awful for his family as well, so sad.
