Michael "Skull Cracker" Wheatley

I think there will be several people worried about their jobs at this moment.

Really, And there was I under the impression that the usual procedure in the event of public sector screw ups like this was to wheel out a "Spokesperson" who nobody has ever heard of before to apologise on behalf of his department but nevertheless insisting that all established procedures had been followed (IE Nobody is responsible) before going on to say that "Lessons will be Learned"!

So you agree, there will be people worried.

He could've absconded, but who knows? Perhaps his past came back to bite him and he ran into someone he crossed, and now he's currently hanging from the rafters of some East-London lock-up whilst he's worked on by the blowtorch, acid and pliers brigade.

just let it go full cycle when he puts in a claim for being man handled or the prison losing his toothbrush then and only then i think this warrants a thread.

Read the BBC news article. Still no closer to understanding how we've got into this situation given his crime and history. Someone needs to have their head on the chopping block.

Nope, this is why we need the exploding neck collars from Running Man.

You don't come back in 12 hours to have them reset and your head goes bang. Try to remove it and your head goes bang..

But I also think the police should be given Apache attack helicopters...not many car chases would continue if an Apache pulled up beside them :p

Yea, OK, you win, those do sound better.

A friend of a friend works for the Staffs AOU and has said many times that their job would be made far easier if the helo was equipped with a couple of turreted machine guns slaved to his camera. I don't think he was joking either. :D

Former prisons minister Crispin Blunt said it was "fantastically stupid" of Wheatley not to return to the prison.

Really? 13 life sentences, walking out of prison seems like a rather good move. i mean seriously what are they going to do put him back in prison like they have the last 2 times hes escaped?

oh no how scary.

He has been spotted in London so all you lot down there are ******. :D
