***** MicroLab Solo7C Speaker Review *****

Nice review! Your monitor looks slightly over-whelmed, if I may say so:p

However I bought the Edifier R1600T's a while back, and am very happy with them. So much so that I had a couple of other people buy them from you! What's happened to them now? You don't stock them anymore!

I found that the Edifiers really come into their own once you have the volume up past the "quarter" mark roughly, which becomes loud enough to disturb other people in the house... The sound clarity is excellent with those, so am not surprised you like the MicroLab's!

The Edifiers and the microLabs are very much similiar in terms of quality and clarity but Edifier had big price increases so MicroLabs took over.

TTL Review (he loves them):

Meh, his words mean nothing to me, these may be very good speakers but he will love anything that nets him some £££ or some free gear. Tries to act he is non biasd by ripping apart a companies product once in a blue moon to make it look like he isn't. When he clearly is.

Bit baffled, I was under the impression that the Corsairs were meant to be pretty damn good?

That's what you are suppose to think with how they are marketed for PC and how expensive they are and how pretty much everyone who has them aren't that experienced in audio so will follow the crowd and rave on about them.

In reality they arent that good, they would be good for £100 or a bit less but not at the price they are, you can get allot better.

Looks quite good for budget speakers. I suppose you could wire in a sub too with the L output. Annoying that the LED doesn't turn off/dim after a few seconds.

True dat :p

I have the Solo6Cs and also like decent audio, and all I can say is if the 7Cs are more of the same, they shouldn't dissapoint especially with a dab of EQ for personal preferences.

As Ace has said though they do benefit from a decent input source, I'm feeding my 6Cs with a FiioE17 and it made a big improvement. I also have a £3000 RRP AV audio setup sitting not very far from me, and have various old school Missions and other speakers around, so I'm not talking from the perspective of someone who's never heard anything better than PC speakers.

The Microlab Solos are a nice middle ground being closer to the price of a PC sound system, but closer to the QUALITY of a hi-fi setup.

He makes some very good points. I watched a review about the Asus ROG Extreme IV and he made some very insightful points in there as well, which have been held up by other reviewers comments as well.

I have only watched three of his video's in total, but they have all been good (if a bit long winded!!!).

Would love to hear these in person.. but for my TINY box room, they are simply too big. I could maybe get away with justifying the 6C's.

Could you remove the 2 satellites from a 5.1 kit and put these in there place? or are they just there own 2.0 set?

They look awesome, would love to replace my centre and put these two on the left and right =D

No, they don't work like that. You would completely ruin the sound setup if you tried to that anyway.
