Microsoft could be looking to acquire EA or Valve

Where as EA are known for buying them, ruining them, shutting down what they bought and reusing their brands later as hollowed out shells of their former popular products.

If MS bought EA we'd notice no difference to EA, when EA buy anything they utterly screw it over.

EA does what EA does, where's the blame on the ones that sold out the companies to EA in the first place.

Origin and poopisoft are just apps I 'have' to load if I want to play the very occasional game.

Steam and GOG, are my go to, I'd give GOG more business if I could.

Windows Store I've boycotted, and I really, really would love it if I could switch to Linux full time.

Microtransactions are the cancer of the gaming world, but do we really think it'll stop if MS were to buy EA? Nop. I think they'd see the hella dollar being made and titan fall 3 would have a bazillion loot crates.

Are we the only ones with a strong dislike for E.A?

Are the "mainstream" not aware of their shenanigans?

Every year they do more and more damage to the industry while contributing little yet year on year they make more and more money :(

You could be talking about ubi, or others. Don't forget the bigger market for these companies is console, which I'm going to assume are younger people who care less about these things. I get the feeling at this point we PC gamers are generally older, and get more worked up about these things.

We get the ports, and loot crates, and awful practices almost as an inheritance from the console users.

People like ID don't get enough credit, they created a masterpiece with the new doom, gameplay, optimisation, a title with pc as the actual focus.

God I wish there was more of that.

Origin isn't that bad these days and EA props to them have a better refund policy than Steam.

Not the point its still EA burn it too the ground and all the employees with it for selling their souls to the cash cow. (apart from the cleaners and the staff who do the catering and the chap on the front desk) everyone else can burn.

Microsoft actually became somewhat self aware after the Kinnect fiasco, they seem to be trying to garner a positive consumer image with healthy decisions for their customers, they're not doing a very good job but they seem to be trying. EA is basically that one ****head everybody knows for what they are but he or she actually thinks of themselves as a good person through some delusion, Microsoft taking them over would be a blessing at this point. We'd likely see Origin and 'Xbox' merge on PC too which could be one less piece of software on your PC.

Valve on the other hand are probably worth more than Microsoft in practical wealth, could they even free up enough funds to make Valve a remotely tempting offer? I'd bet they couldn't.
