Microsoft SkyDrive, Google Drive or Dropbox?

I always use dropbox for all my paperwork files as I have about 7GB of sapce and its perfect. For large flies that need storing I use Giganews Dumptruck (30GB in size).

The dropbox app for Android is really good and far better that the Skydrive one.

I have my google drive inside of my dropbox at present.. Was bored so decided to checkout if it caused any conflicts. Appears not to. More backups are always better... :p

I have 1tb for 5 yrs with knowhow (livedrive basically). and that's only because it was free. The software is easy to use, but not great in other respects.

SugarSync... ;)

Same. Found Dropbox slow and Skydrive wouldn't show me an upload speed so I couldn't even see if it was resuming or restarting the files (I had 1GB files to upload so it was quite important).

Sugar is superb - has apps for most phones and is very quick in both upload and download.

Nice to see everybody's opinions! I will probably stick with dropbox for now but I think I am going to try SkyDrive. There are however things that I am not sure about it!

What's sugarsync like?

Cheers :)

SkyDrive, found DropBox absolutely awful when trying to use for anything related to getting work done, just awful.

Dropbox, I have 5GB which is plenty for my needs and I think it works fantastically well. I also use iCloud for my iOS devices.

I activated Google Drive with the intention of using it, but didn't like the T&Cs.

I use DropBox because the Android app automatically uploads my photos etc. Don't think Google Drive does that? Not really tried SkyDrive yet.

As I already said I do currently have Dropbox. But I am going to give Microsoft SkyDrive a whirl, various reasons for me:

  • Free 25GB storage (That's quite a lot in comparison to others)
  • Windows 8 Integration - I use Windows and will be using Windows 8
  • iPhone app already - I have an iPhone and something Google does not offer just yet.
  • Office web apps are also a nice touch.
Not sure about the upload speeds of SkyDrive.

I did use Dropbox, but moved over to Skydrive mainly because of the sync of OneNote and the ability to just open up skydrive.com on any PC and access my documents.

Just need an Android app for Skydrive and for the current OneNote app to have a better UI - similar to evernote would be nice...

Been using Dropbox for a while but recently switched to Google Drive for no reason at all other than I like Google stuff, have a few android devices. Was pleasantly surprised to see they are cheaper should I need to buy more.
