microsoft to make own tablets

I have an iPad 2 and my house is very Apple centered.

But, I really want a Windows 8 tablet! I will be buying one if the experience is kept pure!
 
Awesome, it's going to be announced on Monday! Getting in before the Nexus Tablet no doubt, that's only 12 days away!

Depending upon price. I may replace my PlayBook with windows tablet.

For someone that is an open source advocate, I sure am using a lot of closed source products. Windows PC, xbox, windows phone, probably get a windows tablet. lol
 
no one knows for sure its just speculations but if its true it will be great to own windows 8 tablet by Microsoft this will push people more to think about getting tablet made by Microsoft hope its x86 or x64
 
This is how disappointment happens :p It's a rumour. No idea where it actually came from either, just one of those that appeared and was quickly jumped on.

I actually suspect it's Nokia's tablet. That was down for unveiling this month and there hasn't been any word on it so far. Chances are they worked closely with Microsoft on it, so the rumour won't be far out.
 
I read today that Microsoft have bought NOKIA (part of) and this will be a combined effort on the next best thing since sliced bread, but I not getting my hopes up till the 18/06

Windows RT is what will ship on tablets. That's far less capable than I originally thought.

When I use my tablet, I use the majority of my time on it using splashtop to access a PC because it's so much easier and convenient. I was hoping there would be an option of a desktop environment.
