Actually it could be a MASSIVE money saver. If it was your ladies time of the month or a tuesday or whenever else they get down it would be much better if they jump online and spend 2 quid on a avatar dress and a pair of new shoes for a pick me up than spend £200 on the real thing.

Seriously it looks like a cross between steam and facebook for pre school. Sad thing is we probably will be using it in 5 years anyway

+1 to this, I am a happy and proud user of Games for Windows Live, caused my substantially less grief than the much coveted 'Steam' has in my gaming experiences, plus I can share stuff with my Xbox Live account, talk to my friends whilst playing on PC games when Matt for example is on his Xbox, sharing Gamerscore, etc. not sure why 99% of people on here bash Games for Windows Live and worship Steam.

Because we couldn't care less about gamerscore and Steam does everything else considerably better than GFWL does it, bar letting you talk to people on Xbox Live but who cares, PS3 users can't talk to anyone else and no one complains about that, not that i imagine conversation with someone using an Xbox controller and having to pause the game to spend 60 seconds writing a reply with the on screen keyboard is going to be riveting...

Its also integrated into games properly unlike the tacked on piece of crap that is GFWL.
