terrible font and the flag looks a little last century. The new ones better but they need to drop the Microsoft text even if it's in a lot better font in the new logo.

I prefer the Windows 98 "Microsoft" era logo to be honest and I think it would still be considered cool as it has a retro feel.

As for the actual Windows picture they use - I agree with a lot of people on here that the Windows XP style one looks the best.

don't see what's wrong with it. looks more modern and clean than the previous logo, which was very much associated with XP and that late 90s early 00s biege box era

It look quite basic though, nothing really special about the design.
