Microwave Burgers... I know they are bad for me...

I HAVE THE SOLUTION

My ex-vegetarian flatmate introduced me to the wonderful world of vegetarian food. Now most it was is utter crap, but there is one shining light: vegetarian burgers. I buy the tesco ones and they are really good. From frozen, they microwave in a minute, taste good and best of all they have like 3g of fat per burger so they are really quite good for you (compared to most snacks). Tesco have their own brand of them and they are really good - in the frozen section. try them, its like £1.50 for 8.
I agree with that, there are some really good veggie alternatives. I wouldn't go for the ones that are pretending to be meat but some of the vegetable ones loaded with soya and cheese are a really good feed. Dalepack vegetable quarter pounders are really good, especially topped with an egg and some bacon shoved in :D

Do they still make the mcrib style ones, those were amazing!

Also why don't McDonalds bring back the mcrib?
They are an absolute pain the rear to cook. The grill has to be specially adjusted to suit the temperature and cooking time and they spew loads of fat and muck all over the grill which takes longer to clean up. They also take up a whole grill that would normally be working flat out cooking beef burgers, so it holds everything else up. But it's a good tasting sandwich slathered in onions and bbq sauce. I nicked a gallon of rib sauce once and ate the lot myself :D

last time I read the back of a rustlers burger that my friend brought... it contained a total of 36 E number additives...  (that's including the sauce)

if your willing to put that much *poo* inside of you, feel free :) ;)

There is nothing evil about an E number in itself - it's just a naming system for food additives.

For example would you buy something with E375, E306, E101, E160, E304 in them? You probably should because they're all vitamins and as such 'good for you'.

E160 is orange colouring isn't it?

I think there actually quite nice compaired to Mc D's and BK.

McDonalds taste like plastic and don't really fill you up.
Buger King makes you burp for the next 5hours after you've had them.

Only problem is there like a lead brick when they come out the other end.

Best burgers are Birds Eye 100% beed 1/4 pounders.

Or Little Macs Burger stall in the Market place in York !

Yeah man they're real good, but recently I've found my self at Daves Hog Roast quite a bit.

Think its the grease in both that I like !

Can't see how burgers can be that unhealthy for you. 100g of mince contain 5g of fat. So if you lean mean grilling machine it , it probably won't have that much fat in it at all

Generally, the burgers you buy (frozen ones for example) are made with the absolute lowest quality beef, and often have a lot of food additives added to add flavour. If you want real burgers, go to a butchers.

Daves hog roast isn't a patch , on "big bite" its down fulford road near the cop shop. If oyu like hog roasts thats your place , a lot cheaper then daves hog roast in town as well ;)

Well a 100% mince burger would taste rubbish.

So you need to make them the following way.

500g Mince,
2-3 mushrooms finely chopped,
2 cloves of Garlic chopped fine,
1 Whole onion chopped so fine its almost mush.
Pinch of Tabasco,
Pinch of Worcestershire Sauce
Paprika
Sea salt
Back pepper to Season.

Mix all of it up in a bowl with 1 egg "cracked" and make bugers with them, flour them to stop them sticking.

Now cooking is all important for these, if you wanna be healthy use a George Forman grill.

If you wanna go for all out flavour, and you don't have a chargrill at home.
You wanna lightly fry them in lard or even better dripping. :)

Well I opt for 100% mince with some chillis in there and maybe a pinch of worcester sauce. I thought it was only egg white you used

Micro burgers are usually rank, but the rustlers ones are not to bad.
The best burger ive had in a while was from M&S was a spicy chilli one was lovely.
