Hi, basically I am not very good technically, I just like playing games so I was wondering if any of you guys with much superior knowledge could help me decide what is the best value for money computer I can get.

So anyway, I basicaly want the best gaming computer I can get with a budget of roughly £1250 (can go over if you believe if it worth it).

If it is cheaper to buy a gaming keyboard and mouse included rather than via an alternate seller then I do not mind paying extra for that.

Oh I also do not need a monitor.

I also want as much longevity as possible so if it is required to go over budget to get extra coolant or fans I do not mind as it will be worth it in the long run.

Thanks for the help!

Hello and welcome to the forum.

Will you be building it yourself and do you require an OS?
Any keyboard or mouse in particular you have in mind?
In regards the case, are you looking for a full tower or is size an issue.
Do you have any components from an existing PC, that could be reused, sata hdd's, etc,.

If it is considerably cheaper to build it myself I would definitely do that. I do not have experience at this, but I hear it is relatively easy to do and I have a couple of friends who have done it recently.

Yeah I do require an OS.
I have no particular ones in mind, whichever are best for gaming but not too expensive I get. I have never owned a specific gaming keyboard or mouse before.
Size is not issue.
No components already unfortunately, got to be from scratch.

Oh and thanks for the welcome!

How do I post showing the items like that? I think I'd like to combine bits from both of your suggestions and see what you guys think.

So this is what I came up with...

YOUR BASKET
1 x EVGA GeForce GTX 780 SC ACX Superclock 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (03G-P4-2784-KR) £369.95
1 x Intel Core i7-4770K 3.50GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150 Processor - OEM £239.99
1 x Samsung 250GB SSD 840 EVO SATA 6Gb/s Basic - (MZ-7TE250BW) £119.98
1 x MSI Z97 Gaming 5 Intel Z97 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX Motherboard **MSI Cashback** £114.95
1 x Crucial Ballistix Sport 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (BLS2CP8G3D1609DS1S00CEU) £104.99
1 x Corsair Obsidian 450D High Airflow Mid-Tower Case (CC-9011049-WW) £91.99
1 x Silverstone Strider Plus 750W Modular '80 Plus Silver' Power Supply (ST75F-P) £89.99
1 x Corsair Hydro H100i High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler (CW-9060009-WW) £88.00
1 x Microsoft Windows 8.1 64-Bit DVD - OEM (WN7-00614) £74.99
1 x Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200RPM SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache - OEM (ST2000DM001) HDD £59.99
1 x Zalman ZM-K400G Gaming Keyboard £19.99
1 x SPEEDLINK LEDOS Gaming Mouse - Red £16.99
1 x BitFenix Alchemy Molex to 3pin x3 Fan adaptor 12V 20cm - Black £4.99
Total : £1,406.38 (includes shipping : £8.00).

I know it's considerably over the budget I set, which kind of defeats the purpose of setting a budget. I just feel as though I might be spending a tiny bit extra so I don't have to downgrade on certain bits.

I also read somewhere that this particular tower case has the space to have extra fans installed, anyone know if this is true? I'd rather have as much cooling as possible to extend the longevity of it.

You downgraded the PSU I specced. :)

The only thing the Silverstone has going over the Seasonic is slightly less power consumption, which you won't even notice. In every other sense, the Seasonic is superior, and has 100w extra, for the same price, allowing you to go CrossFire/SLI with a 290 or a 780. Much nicer cabling too:

There's also a 750W version:

YOUR BASKET
1 x Seasonic M12II EVO Edition 750W '80 Plus Bronze' Fully Modular Power Supply £79.99

Are you sorted for sound?

With a windowed case, a bit of lighting is nice. But that's personal preference.

You will need an optical drive to install from the Windows DVD.

Yeah I have speakers built into my monitor.

Yeah I might get some red LEDs to put in.

I might add an optical drive as well to be honest.
