Mid range and low voltage Skylake release?

What would be cool is if somebody adjusted their i5 until it actually had the stated 90 watt TDP. And see how fast it goes. 4.2-4.3 GHz probably. Maybe adjust the base clock too a bit (to fine-tune it).

It looks like we'll be back to the old days of bumping the fsb up to overclock non unlocked processors. I read the Asus boards should support up to around 400mhz.

Really???

I was operating under the assumption that Intel has these CPU cap the BCLK at 103 Mhz or something pretty limited like that. Hence anything higher then that won't work unless it's already an unlocked part anyway.

I can see some of the T models available now in the UK, the i5-6600T and i7-6700T.

I finished my HTPC build over the weekend though with the i5-6600K and noise and temps seem decent so far, took some pics to post a build log in a few days.

Ah yes I found those too now. Price is a little high, they should be the same price as the non-T models. So around ~£170 for the i5-6600T.

The premium isn't too much for the lower TDP, I guess the real question is how much performance is sacrificed, I have seen some basic performance charts in Japanese that compare the T parts to the K ones.

Availability of the T-series models is still very sketchy in the UK. So I have ordered the i5-6500T from OcUKs parent company who have stock of all the models at sensible prices.
