CPU cooler
Memory - 8GB

- Already have SSD
- 1TB drive
- Case

would really appreciate some advise, would like to buy from OCUK

sounds good buddy. As i always have shuttles i lose track with motherboards and so on, yeah i think the cheaper of the gcards will be fine, as it will only general pc use and video playback. so the stock cooler will do the job then?

To answer your question, yes stock cooler will be fine and Also yes the Motherboard is Micro ATX.

Here is probably a better spec.

I think it's worth having a GPU, if only for the HDMI output.

out of interest, what case will you be fitting this in?

If you're ordering this weekend you can get this Kingston RAM for cheap.

H67 motherboard gives you USB 3.0 and SATA-6 if you ever need it, nice options to have even if you don't have any need for it right away.

Great PSU also that punches well above it's 430W tag, not that you'll need anything close with this build but will support a big graphics upgrade later if you fancy it. (GTX 460/HD 6850)

if your happy to drop down to 4GB RAM (or spend £365) and use the intel onboard graphics then you can get an i5 2500k + Z68 motherboard in budget:

Hmm second attempt - includes power this time - ahem

Micro board, only 4gb is needed for video playback and 8gb is a waste of resources - put it towards an optical drive or an i5 cpu

My understanding is that onboard gfx is pants in any case so includes a discrete card which will easily play back hi def vid and surf tinternet. Any card over and above this is a waste of resources IMO

It's cool and quiet - a bit like me :)

What do you think?
