Middle aged life

My mum died at 66 just as her state pension had kicked in (my parents have always struggled financially).

The notion of the 4% rule when taking my pension can **** off.

I won't be silly with it but I'll make sure I make the most of it early on, and then the Gov can sort me out if I get to 80+
If I make it to 67 it will be out of pure spite, just to get some money back from the ********. :p

I'd love to be young again but still know what I know now....I'm a daft git now but I was a complete f*wit in my youth.

Heard this plenty of times when grown up.

Doesn't matter as long as you learn in your older age. Some people dont learn which is the problem.

Yes, you have probably seen a lot of stuff that didnt work last time being trialled again. As long as it isnt you repeating old mistakes.

Young yes, but not now, then. Young people today are screwed.
Not all of them, it's much like any generation - the ones that should keep their mouths shut shout the loudest.

I'd hate to be young now. They're bombarded with noise 24/7, I have no idea how any of them keep their sanity.

I wonder if we grew up on the crest of a wave and now things are going downhill. Global literacy is declining, AI is taking over, and before too long,
global warming will end all of humanity if it doesn't do it to itself first. I am great at parties.

It's OK. The President of the United States has reassured me that these issues are just a hoax and there is nothing to worry about.
