It's poppycock, statistics do not a town make.
I am about 30 miles away and I have to say Middlesbrough isn't the most salubrious of places I have been. It is a large industrial town dominated by the chemical industry.
Good night out though I hear.

Hull is worse
Boro is terrible, full of chavs, full of wasters, full of chimneys from ICI. Such an eye sore.
Once place I WILL NOT be looking to buy a house, even though I could buy one with the change I have in my pocket.
thisAgreed.
Boro is fine tbh, it's mainly Southbank and Grangetown that let it down (badly!)
they always show that on sky sports when theyre going to the riverside too (just watch on friday...) or the chemical works at billingham/hartlepool.Also when TV programs show that Middlesbrough is a 'cesspit' they'll show the steelworks which is in Redcar, not Middlesbrough. Funny how they don't want to mention that.
Anyway, it's alright.
lol...
Hull is worse
Haha thats great
Middlesbrough is ok...like almost everywhere there are good and bad points, but it's nowhere near as bad as the picture people like to paint of it.
