Midweek Football 27-28th October *Spoilers*

Enjoyed that. Arsenal played some great football at times and deserved the win. We had a few good chances but poor finishing let us down again.

Thought Insua, Ngog and Degen all played very well for us but Spearing and Plessis were both poor. Really don't see a future at Liverpool for either of them. The less said about Babel the better.

Babel's just awful. Would be perfect at Everton, Fulham or Derby.

Plessis is a bit rubbish and will disappear, Spearing will end up at Preston or Tranmere or somewhere.

The Carling cup is a no lose trophy. If you win it then great- waheeeeeey- you are a cup winner. If you lose, it's not important anyway....

I disagree, I think that Plessis has a future; he needs to put himself about a bit more, but give him time. Babel was abysmal, as was Voronin. I was chuffed to see Ngog playing well, he's improving every match and certainly has something to him. Can'y believe we took him off, ridiculous decision!

Great to see Aquilani have a run as well, looked like an interesting player, with the ability to play in the Alonso role, but also a little more forward thinking. It will be interesting to see if he's as consistent as Xabi.

Will take that all day, always love beating the scousers. Ramsey needs to start more, him and Fabregas in the middle would be sex on legs!

Looked like he wanted to get stuck in and fight as soon as he was on which is great to see from any player especially one coming back from a lengthy injury.

It would also be goals on legs for the opposition though...would only work with 3 in the middle with those two alongside a good holding player, and Arsenal aren't exactly flush with them right now!

Great player though, and a fantastic prospect.

If we had a powerhouse DM then that might work, but with Song or Diaby we'd be more pillaged and raped than Viking conquest.

But we play Song, Diaby and Fabregas in the middle already, Diaby is no better defensively than Ramsey but Ramsy is much better going forward.

Did Yossi even get a touch on the ball? Don't remember him doing much after he came on?

Ah I see. I certainly wouldn't be against that, the only thing that comes to mind is Ramsey's inexperience...but then he'd be replacing Diaby who has clearly shown experience isn't all that anyway.

Been praying Ramsey, or Wilshire on the right and Eboue in the middle instead of Diaby, its not gonna happen, Wenger likes Diaby and is "protecting" Ramsey and Wilshire. Ramsey, for someone whose been part of every squad for prem league games has had stupidly little time on the field.

Merida, fantastic strike, great player, again should be seeing more of him, but really should have been seeing more of him for a couple years now. 30mins in the league a year and Carling Cup isn't going to take him to the next level, Randall, was dodgey Gilbert looked pretty decent, he looked very promising a couple years ago then has been invisible since.

Frankly I thought Eastmond looked pretty decent and far better than Diaby does. I really get aggrevated by the almost complete lack of use our youngsters get and lack of experience they are getting(thinking back to the likes of Bentley, Pennant and a dozen others), even more so these days when we're happy to play Diaby for 90 minutes every game despite being so useless. Even if Wenger does love Diaby, why start him in every game, against the Pompies and Blackburns we should be giving Wilshire/Ramsey/Gilbert more chances.
