Midweek Football Spoilers 28/29th Oct

Ah yeah, should have seen that.

I really hope we see some of the lads shine tonight, like on Sunday. Modric was a whole new player, Huddlestone too. Bent was pretty damn quick, although his finishing still needs a lot of work. Be interesting to see of HR plays King, he's played the last 2 games whereas Juande only ever played him 1 out of 4 or something.

Interview yesterday suggests he will play as feels fine. Apparently his knee is nowhere near as bad as Ramos made out and can play as many games as needed a week if there is no flare up. Ramos wasnt willing to risk him so made up the story he couldnt play.

Whatever Spurs fans predict take with a pinch of salt :p

The majority were wrong with predicting what would happen this season :D

Don't tar us all with the same brush (ie based on Rizl4 :p), I don't believe the majority made any overly ambitious predictions: and I doubt many fans of any persuasion would have guessed at the atrocious start Spurs made.

As skippi says, we are only still at the early stages of the league. Time will tell, but there is only 1 winner currently in the league: and that is football. IMO the standard of the league has gone up extraordinary amounts in the past 10 years and long may it continue.

Tonight my heart says that Spurs will win tonight, though my head says we will get beat in a highly entertaining game. A draw would be a good result, but fingers crossed the boys pull something out of the bag! :)

Few rumours going about that Hyypia (no doubt with Crouch in mind) and Babel will start in place of Agger and Riera tonight, nothing official yet.

United team:

PIG

Rafael
Ferdinand
Vidic
Evra

Fletcher
Anderson
Nani

Ronaldo
Berbatov
Tevez

Subs:

Foster
Neville
O'Shea
Park
Giggs
Rooney
Carrick

Don't mind Hyppia starting in place of Agger but Babel should've replaced Keane after his performance at the weekend. He looked very dangerous in comparison.

It wouldn't be the first time that Babel's come off the bench and looked great, unfortunately he rarely does the same from the start.

Official 11:

----------Reina
Arbeloa-Carra-Hyypia-Aurelio
-------Lucas-Alonso
Pennant--Gerrard--Babel
-----------Kuyt

Not 100% certain that we'll line up like that but that's the 11. Babel may play up front either in place of Kuyt or alongside him with Lucas on the left.

I'd have gone with Carrick over Fletcher but apart from that it's a decent lineup.

Carrick is only just back from injury and Fletcher is there to chase their midfield around

I'm happy with that tbh, Rooney for Berbatov @ about 60 minutes :)

Did VDS slip in the shower again?
And re: ^^ berbatov is at least like cantona in one way - Fergie wont sub him unless injured, regardless of performance.

Think it will end up being standard 4-4-2, and without subs I can feel this team struggling

Berba and Tevez have only had about 5 (live) minutes playing together, midfield is so so (Nani is a sub at best, Ronny is disinterested and not fully fit, Fletcher and Anderson are ok - just dont think they work together, neither are naturally defensive)

Glad Raf is getting a start though, hopefully Rio remembers his head tonight

This selection will certainly make tonight interesting

edit - I wanted Carrick from the start also, and if Rooney comes on for Tevez at about 60 , that should improve the game immensely

I would love to see Babel move up front with Kuyt and Riera for Alonso, Maybe later on in the game. Kind of glad Defoe is being rested/benched for the game (even if it does cost my fantasy points). Looks like Adams has set his team up for a draw.

Hmm why aint he even a sub then :p

His knees are knackered

Ah, here they come falling back to Earth.

I knew they'd have three points taken off them by Chelsea and Man UTD and yet get three off us. Grr....Ah well. Come on Arsenal!!
