Midweek Football Thread. Champions League. 29/30 *spoliers*

Would you rather me not do them?

If all your going to do is bitch and complain, don't post in the threads?
Oh ok, we'll ignore all those times I talk about the matches in these threads because clearly all I do is complain.

Can't you take a bit of criticism? All I'm asking is why you feel the need to post your BBC copy-paste business when we've already got a set of fixtures this weekend to concentrate on? Most fans aren't too fussed about any games after the next one, unless they're particularly important.

Why not post next weekend's matches, while you're at it? Or the weekend after that? Or the FA Women's Cup?

I'm killing two birds with one stone, I have free time and decided to post one of the threads, while I'm at it, I thought I'd post the second to save me doing it Monday.

Why? do you feel the need to complain? nobody else is? nobody else seems to have a problem with what I do? *except Ripper, because I make him scroll.

No Mascherano or Benayoun for Liverpool tomorrow at Fiorentina. I wonder who will start against Wolfsburg on Wednesday. Read quite a fascinating fact about Fletcher, out of the last 47 games he has started for us, we've only lost 1 game. :) Doesn't look good for Carrick at the minute as Fletcher has really matured, his ball for Giggs against Stoke was lovely.

Arsenal hit by Denilson lay-off

Another injury for Arsenal.

They need better physio's :p

AFAIK denilson fractured his back in a game, though it took them long enough to realise that(so probably do need better physio's). But so many of our injuries read as overtraining. I think Wenger is just really into his fitness training, but not everyone has the natural fitness of say a Clichy, so you get Rosicky whose overtraining while CLichy is doing great, doing the same level of work.

The huge number of niggling injuries suffered by the same players says to me that not quite to a Ledley King level, certain players simply need to train less hard to avoid injury. But whatever the problem is, we've not fixed it in 8 years, we're not fixing it now :(

Red membership is £30, as a red member, even at Highbury where it was WAY harder to get tickets, bar the first 3-4 games of the year I never had trouble getting tickets. THe top 4 are still out(barring a miracle, or if we see them in carling cup) and the biggest Euro games are unlikely. But its pretty easy to get good seats for any game outside the top 4 and anything group stage in champs league normally.

All you need to do is make sure you're ready to buy the second the go out on sale, the bigger games, Everton/Villa etc, would often sell out in minutes, a Sunderland/west brom/Derby type you'll have more time for :p

If you join the away game club(forget the name of it) and go to 3-5 away games a year you get points towards moving up the rankings for getting tickets for the big games. If you went to 10 away games I think you rarely have trouble getting the big game tickets. Again from what I recall your points for going to away games build up over 2 years. Away games are a pain though, Sunderland, easy, no one wants to go that far, going to the closer away games, lots of people go to build up points so your Pompies, Southamptons, Readings are difficult to go to.

Bender's out tonight as well. Poor lad was invovled in a car crash. Wonder if he saw sometime inspirational...

Due to my distance away from the ground I've still not stepped into Ashburton Grove yet. I seem to be the point of call to fill up away match credits for a few different friends. Not complaining mind, but would be nicer if Mr Branson could cheapen his tickets slightly.

I'm fearing Olympiakos tonight, although we do have the advantage of home stadium. This isn't some team from the A-hole of Europe, they are champions league regulars and we are going to get it handed to us if we play like we played the first few minutes of the Liege game. I haven't looked at the team sheet yet but I hope to god that Diaby isn't on the pitch.

I think you do a good job mate. :D
