Ok so earlier today I had to reset my bios,(890FXA-UD5) a standard procedure yes, but for some reason now (and after extensive testing) I have found I can no longer pass Prime 95 on my CPU 1055T 2.8GHz stock) on anything over 3.0GHz. Now, bearing in mind I had mine clocked at 3.4 for about three or so months until about six hours ago i'm really stuck for ideas, As of now I have tried; mild overvaulting (no overvaulting at all previously), reduced multiplier (was previously at max) and increased frequency, Removing all but one, and then two RAM sticks from the board.

Can anyone think of anything else that could be effecting this? I mean, i'm only trying to get another 400MHz out of it, which it had no problem doing before...

PS i think this should be in the overclocking forum?

Thankyou

I assume your PSU is up to the job, also CPU cooler, but try with single graphics card and two sticks of ram.
Set ram to 6.66x multi in bios
set CPU to 14x in bios
Set HT and NB to 8x in bios

Set ram voltage to 1.6V approx.
Set CPU vcore to -0.075V so that max is 1.4V

Try upping the busclock in increments (mine is at 250 for 24/7).
250 gives me 3500MHz CPU and 1667MHz ram, 2000MHx for HT and NB.
Run prime for a short while after each increment.

If stable replace second GPU and any other memory.
