Mindless youth of today

Chris is a religious extremist, and proud of it too from what I gather.

Is he? Whilst fully supporting people's right to follow their religion of choice, and fully understanding the hope and comfort it gives billions, I myself am pretty much an atheist. To some of the youth of today religion and its followers are dirty words, they are not to me, I am ambivalent to religion, but strongly supportive of those who are not.

Get teens running around in my work swearing at colleagues and customers. Or come in and randomly drop jars and bottles onto the floor, laugh at smashed contents and leave.

We ask them unless they are buying stuff, leave. Some smaller shops in the area have signs limiting the number of children without adults.

What’s wrong with teens? I didn’t dare to behave like that when I was their age.

When I was a teenager, I used to go my friends’ homes and play video games, watch tv etc.

Parity of esteem between academic and vocational courses is like a bad joke.

Looking back, I would have been much happier (and financially better off?) if I had been a plumber. Instead I got pushed to do a levels, which I hated.
When I was at school, during the mock interviews, if students said they want to go to college to do a practical course such as woodworking etc. After that, those students were looked down by most teachers.

Not everyone is academic minded. Got students who got C-E in the other subjects and As in Design and their options- art, electronics, product design etc.

Some students aren’t geared to studying stuff like Geography and maths but vastly improved their education once they were doing their practical courses at college.

I guess I am mistaken, I thought you were Christian.

Anyway, that just means you're a non-religious extremist with many of your views aligned with religious extremists.

I don't really want to go into any other comments as I'll get done for personal attacks. If anything I'll go as far as saying at least you're honest/open about the views you hold.

I have reported but one post on these forums, not because i felt I was being unfairly attacked, but because the content of the post might inadvertently have upset friends and family of a member who had died in a pretty horrific car accident. So please feel free to let rip, I have broad shoulders, a wicked sense of humour and my nickname at school was Rhino (thick skinned and always charging...).

I am not even baptised, as a Christian the Christian church would find me greatly lacking and somewhat intolerant of their duplicity.

Thank you for going so far as to say I am honest and open in my views, that has always been my way, and I find with forthrightness and honesty to be the best way to present my views, even if some opinions I have may be, err, unpopular ;)
