Servers for other games I have had before I was able to FTP to the game server the same as a website.
But with this one they block all ftp access all I see is empty folders so the files within have been blocked.

I have to use my host software (ClanForge) to do the admin, there is very little that I can do.

My host put the servers offline today to do software updates to the ClanForge to inprove admin access for minecraft.
But what I can see at the moment I cant see any changes.

I guess they limt FTP access so there customers can't mess up the servers.
But at the end of the day there is very little admin that needs doing on a minecraft server.

You was not on the whitelist did see your post yesterday but with servers + minecraft down was unable to up date the whitelist.

You are on it now, I have added a list on members that are on the white list to my 2nd post on this thread.

Minecraft is down again, game crashed within 5 mins the would not let me relog.
 
Not usre why 1-2 hours worth of work has been lost on both servers
Could have been my host when they did the upgrades or minecraft as it's been offline for aday on & off.

No point in me getting a backup game saved file installed as we would just lose the working you are doing right now.
 
Just posted a support ticket with host, all was well before they did there server upgrade.
I am working 1pm - 10pm today so hope they get back to me before then.

So work on the server at your own risk at the moment, I also lost 2 hours of
work last night stayed up till 1.30am building only for it all to be lost this morning as well.

Been a bad minecraft week all round :(

Can't even logon to the OCuK Servers now.
Maybe the hackers have done something to the minecraft files so it hacks the servers aswell ?

Just got in from work email from host reads

We've found a bug with the save system in the current set-up. We are working to get this fixed as soon as we can.

It seems like there is a very serious bug in the core minecraft server which breaks manual world saves if automatic world save is turned off :(


We are still investigating this, but in the mean time please don't restart your server as your world changes may well be lost.

We have confirmed this is a bug in the minecraft server; we have implemented a workaround for this issue both in Clanforge for when servers are stopped and in our Admin mod.


This update requires that we restart all servers to pickup the new admin mod to ensure that future data is not lost. We have manually requested a save using the workaround so all servers should keep there worlds intact during the restart.


Sorry for the inconvenience, unfortunately with Minecraft being Alpha quality these things can happen :(

We tried doing a quick restart but servers haven't picked up the updated plugin so we're going to have to perform a full restart, which will happen in the next hour.

Please do, then it will take the heat off me about how #### the server control is.

when you pay for the server you get it right away not waiting.

This is the problem I have today with multiplay, I get up for work at 5.30am this morning, I have a look to see if the server is working as I care if it is or not as I want you guys to be able to use it.
It's not working not I have two options
1. I reboot it & risk losing or the work done last night as to me the server is still not auto saving.
2. Make a ticket to multiplay about the server being down

I chose option 2. I do this at 5.50am this morning asking if the game saves are working all not & if it's safe for me to reboot the server or not.
Also if it's safe to do a reboot can they do it for me as I am at work all day.

So I have just got in from work now 12 hour shift, look at emails nothing from multiplay so I look at the server logs again nothing from multiplay to show thay have rebooted the server.

At this point in time I am ######## with mulitplay & there servce I don't like letting people down this whole OcUK minecraft server plain has not gone very well.

So I am now about to reset the servers will we lose our work ?

I dont know as multiplay don't tell me

Can't 100% blame multiplay as minecraft is in alpha build but they are also not being that helpful.

I also think this auto saving not working is part down to multiplays clanforge upgrade plus the fact water can no longer be moved.

Need to go on a none multiplay server & ask if they are having the same problems.

I've got this bit in my server.properties
whitelist=true
whitelist-txt-location=whitelist.txt
and added my own name in the whitelist as so

Thats all you should need, you have removed the # before the text ?

Sorry did not finsh work till 10pm last night & been to work all day today,
the last worldsave file I have is dated 17/10/10 so are old.

I did ask Multiplay for a new set of worldsave files for both servers on Wednesday they told me thay had uploaded them to clanforge but they had not.

I can ask again on Monday if you want to use your work server to see if you have better luck.

The file is 45mb so I can upload it to my website if you still want a copy.

No I have not, it stopped working the day lovely multiplay added the server up grade :(

They are not replying to my tickets at the moment, I am not a happy bunny :mad:

Delvis if your minecraft name is Delvis then yes I put you on the list at 7pm
