this is the furthest I've ever got playing minesweeper, any help on which of the remaining I should uncover. I sorta understand the number but I'm still learning

cheers

lol

the numbers mean how many bombs are touching that block

so the

111
1 1

means the block in the middle must be a bomb...

Read dots are mines:

The number is simply the number of mines touching that particular square, including diagonals.

I've got another situation

ok basically....see the 1 in the top left corner...there is only 1 free block that is touching the 1..which means a bomb MUST be there

then as there is a 1 right underneath the bomb, it means theres no way it can be touching another bomb...so the block to the right of the bomb is not a bomb :)

..and carry on..

Lol fair play, MS usually throw in a few classic games don't they with their windows' installations. It's a pity that they don't include a version of tetris - how coold would that be :)

Remember Ski Free? Rattler Race? And what was that other one, you played a mouse and had to get cheese and avoid/trap cats. Awesome games.
