Mini PC

Now now lets not be taking the p**s lol!

Someone must know if that lian li mini itx case comes with a psu?
and if not, do I jst put any psu in it?

oi!

The Lian LI cases do not come with PSU's but they can fit any standard ATX PSU liek the Corsair CX400W or the OCZ stealthXstream II 500W

Lian li sell good cases. Good cases do not come with power supplies.

If he's being charged 2k each for a print server you have to go and find out why. It's possible he's being overcharged by a factor of 20, but it's also possible you've misunderstood what the device needs to do.

i looked at that but its out of stock :(
i'll just whack a cheapish psu in there too then :)

naaa he gave me one to look at, and all it is is a computer with a small piece of software for the printer running on windows XP :/

Thanks guys!

It's likely i'll have to do this again so could anyone suggest a build that would be cheaper? probably with the micro ATX cube box?

before i order could you guys please confirm this is all correct pleaseee! thanks

Why does it need to be a cube..! This has a much smaller footprint and therefore takes up less space.

Also, this one you've talked about is firstly, ugly, and more importantly, probably a lot bigger than the specs might have you think. The dimensions are listed wrong. MATX boards aren't all that small so forget about them.

This is not a case, its a test bench. The motherboard sits on top. Get this instead, or if you want to spend more there's a red one linked above at £120 or so.

edit:

also, if you want to make your life easier, buy a modular PSU. You can detach the cables which is handy if squeezing in to a tiny space.

obviously that pushes the price up, you could downgrade to 2GB of ram to even out the price again. Still way overkill for a print server, they won't come out any quicker;) Do you need an operating system?

ahhhh right the motherboard goes on top...glad you mentioned that!!!
Thanks

That other case looks a bit big though? :(
I dunno why it has to be a cube lol, but im kinda just following instructions at the moment :P.

Are there no smaller mini ITX cases?

The modular psu sounds like a good idea, cheers
