Hi all!
Interesting post we got here. Been reading this and thought I'd share some feedback for the gamers out there regarding the SAMSUNG MU6400 (40") model I purchased.
First a little brief background; I play competitive games online and always been gaming on a monitor. Had numerous monitors throughout the years. My latest monitor was ASUS VX239H-W. I been gaming on consoles (Xbox One S) so no PC. I play games like Destiny, HALO etc. Here are the specs of the monitor for those whom are interested;

I been hearing good stuff about 4K and HDR (well at least it's better than the dead feature 3D lol).
4K+HDR has got attention of many people out there. Anyways...
So I made the change and purchased the 40" model. The design of the tv is superb. You get two remotes; standard with all them buttons and a smart one remote that controls everything more or less and has a few buttons. Honestly SAMSUNG should just ditch the standard remote. The entire TV is silver well the frame and stand and the back is black. Power cable is white well sort of light grey.
The model I got has a VA panel and the quality is superb. Sharp, vibrant and punchy. This TV is perfect for gaming. I have been playing HALO online and let me tell you. You won't notice any sort of input lag compared to a monitor. Remember with monitor they will say 5ms GTG or 1ms GTG but that technically doesn't mean input lag. You could get a monitor maybe with 5ms GTG but input lag might 15ms - 20ms etc. This is what monitor manufactures don't tell you. This TV has an input lag of 19ms in GAME mode.
Here are two videos that I uploaded of me gaming online on HALO 5 Ranked Slayer. One on a monitor and the other on the SAMSUNG TV;

I'd definitely recommend picking this TV up for gaming or movies. When 4K HDR monitor come out they will be near or over £1,000.
