Can you stop posting porn right as I go to bed? kthnx

The finish on Alex's work is just stunning though. Mirrored surface with a finishing bit.

Sorry, i couldn't help myself .

Still not complete due to some issues with the mounting brackets so gonna have to wait a week or 2 before i can get this rolling. The enclosure is gorgeous though and so happy to have it in hand now.

Its beautiful! Shame to paint it but that's up next. Just working out what im going to do about the mounting brackets.

I'm really tempted just to 3D print some and be done with it because technically i can get away with it.
Nooo don't paint it! I know the build concept kinda requires it but I think it would still look good with that part as bare metal!

There's machining marks on the panels even though its shiny so to get it fully shiny i would i need to polish it quite abit to get it perfectly flat.

I did notice the machining marks, but I'm quite keen on that sorta stuff (like clear coat bike frames where you can see the heat marks from welding!)

Yeah i quite like it too which is why im struggling to paint it .

Im getting some 3D printed brackets tomorrow so depending on how that goes i'll decide whether to paint or machine polish this to a shine.

We're so close to finally building this but yet so far lol.

Honestly I would rather paint it, I work with Aluminium every day so I'm sick of machining marks lol.

If you do go to polishing it then I can say that Autosol (and a LOT of work) is great for giving a chromed looking finish.

Fantastic design once again, cant wait to see it all assembled.

It's not my build and therefore you must do what you want, particularly as your work is stunning. But:

looks good mate. The finish on the enclosure is really nice. I see the mayhem in the background :)

Though it looks great unpainted
Have to agree
After Seeing it attached painted should look better
Probably easier to photograph too
Without reflections

@BeeP His minibotpc site?
Working here

The reflections are a nightmare to photograph even with a polariser. I kinda managed it but not quite perfect, you get the idea though .

Server was briefly down for the website but its back up now. Just in the process of updating things.

:D Good spot, got a whole bunch of mayhems coolant and other bits to get through but should have that done soonish.

I need to start looking at a rack to sort things out, i'm starting to lose track of things i've been sent.

Here we go!

Getting the build started tonight, lining up all my watercooling components next on the to do list. Might or might not need to 3D print some brackets for mounting watercooling components but i might be able to get away with it from experience.
