Minimalism in your life

Well I don't know about interior design/possessions wise but I'm very minimalist with people/relationships. Think this makes me.more miserable than liberated though

I find ridding myself of things I don't use very gratifying, and I don't hoard....does that qualify as minimalist? I thought it was fairly normal.

Its good to see so many materialistic people on here who seem to think that there is a single right way to live their lives and that these guys are suggesting just that. It worked for them and they seem happier because of it so in my book they are doing better than 90% of the population. They are just saying that this is something that they found worked. There are plenty of blissfully happy consumerist whores out there too.

Yes most of it is common sense and yet pretty much no one lives their life logically. We know that helping others makes us happier than doing things for ourselves and we still insist on looking out for number one. Its not as easy as it looks. Look at the "stuff I bought this month" thread and you will see the same people week in week out buying rubbish that simply cannot bring as much happiness as the price it costs. We always whinge about how overweight we are etc and yet don't bother to change.

I don't think they have got the answers but its pretty retarded to hate on them because they live a different lifestyle and advocate it.
