Minimum speed/power requirement on Motorways

Over the last couple of weeks I've had to make several trips up and down the A12 and I can relate to this. Its depressing enough when one lorry pulls out to make an achingly slow overtake of another, but when it does it to overtake some moron doing 55mph, in a car perfectly capable of maintaining a much higher speed, "bEcAuSE it's the mOSt eCoNOmiC spEEd!!", its rage inducing.

Every morning I get stuck behind people going 35-40 in a 60 for no obvious reason, almost the entire way from home to work :/

Sometimes I can overtake them and they appear to get annoyed by it. I think it's the same handful of people who happen to be commuting at the same times I do. One is a very obese women in a tiny city car which is hillarious. Like Jabba the hut squashed in to a jam jar.

Maybe they do it because they know you spout total nonsense on the internet.

I think some people just set speed limiter at ~40 MPH and just go at that. I also see it the other way around where they are behind me getting agitated with me in a 30, etc. as I tend to stick to the speed limit in built up places, which means they are having to manually control their speed more and then I leave them miles behind once we get to a 50 or 60 and they trundle along at 40.

Anyone caught joining motorways or dual carriageways at less than 65mph without good reason should be given a mandatory demonstration of proper acceleration by being fired out of a ****ing cannon into a sharpened metal grid

I don't think I'd last long as transport minister.

I actually think you would... :D A lot of people would appreciate some common sense.

There's a bloke I see driving round Bath in a Smart car. I can only assume his family must help crowbar him into it every day- he is one of the biggest blokes I have ever seen. Doesn't look like a comfortable drive for him!
