I'm going to break down the costs seeing as everyone else is , reckon I will only upset myself though :p

I ended up wondering where the hell all the quids come from. :) But on thinking about it.... about 75k per year is pretty much on the button, my wife and I both run our own businesses, and we have income from investments etc.....

450 quid a week rent!!!! 1800 pcm, where do you live in penthouse apartment? Thats more than my mortgage is per month

Rent is always generally more than a mortgage would be over 25 years on the same place. I could mortgage my place for less if the owner would sell it.

I need around £200 a week, £100 for necessities (bills, food, etc) and £100 for impulse purchases. I found that even with two jobs and a University loan that my expenditure and my gambling habits were leaving me in poor shape for the upcoming month. Thankfully i've got into eBay and it's all levelled out.

yes i know my mobile bill is way too high, on average its around £180 per month. Im going to setup a VOIP account as soon as i get ADSL put in my flat which should save me at lest £50 per month.

Good idea!! I thought my phone bills were bad coming in at ~£75 a month!

Well if we're talking minimum I could live on then:

Public transport to/from work: £10 a week.
Food: £20 a week (Tesco value plus lunch for work costs).
Utilities: £10 a week (average over the year probably).
Mortgage + House Insurance: £57 a week.
Council Tax: £23 a week.

So total is roughly £120 a week before "luxury" extras. Everything else is not essential to me to live on as you can live without a TV/internet/phone (use a local payphone), not that I'd want to.

seeing as i'm currently skint until payday i can do this fairly accurately: all weekly
rent: £60
(gas, elec, landline, net): £4.35
mobile: £5
Bus pass: £2
Food: £25

i could live on less for food, but that is the amount i have available for food, some will probably go on other things
as my car is currently off the road and i'm off the drink that's pretty much my total

£96.35 a week
