Just wondering, how far off is the Minority Report screen from becoming a reality?

If you are unaware

I have not followed the development of Microsoft Surface, is it basically a inferior version of what we see in this movie.

Will the next version of Surface be a exact replica of the Minority Report screen?

Thanks

Certain types of people today are having something called information overload causing headaches, migraines and other brain activity problems.

This needs to be ironed out before even thinking about going ahead with a technology of this type.

Units should be shipping this year to emulate the interactions. No need for silly gloves, either & the interface is only ~$70 for good accuracy.

The screens themselves will be another couple of years, but we have similar transparent offerings available today, smaller size though.

Those people can **** off

There are a lot, I'm sure, who can take advantage of such tech.

Should we hinder development of everything just because some people find it hard / "too much" to use?

**** them

Lets get rid of the people with disabilities then shall we? I know where you are coming from but got to be careful what you say.

I would just like holo tech to become mainstream. Could you imagine getting out of bed and having a floating HUD near you displaying time, weather, news, emails and stuff whilst waking to the kitchen?

That would be awesome :)

Yes because "Don't hold back technological development to cater for a minority" is exactly the same as "Exterminate all disabled people"

That's one of the most fantastically retarded leaps of logic i've ever seen
