Loved the first one, amazing art direction and story telling.

I have a feeling too much will be changed and it will lose its originality.

First game was good, but very basic. Lets hope they have gone to town on the eye candy this time.

While the first game was very enjoyable I'm not sure they need a sequel, unless of course they can introduce some amazing new feature instead of just rehashing the original.

indeed! they need to improve the gun play and more hand to hand combat moves will be awesome! Hopefully it wont be like BRINK!!

Last news I read about a possible sequel was EA saying the would want significant changes to make it more marketable - as in dumbed down with more shooty bits.

Hopefully those things can be added without diluting what the original vision for Mirrors Edge was too significantly.

Looking forward to this, I got the first one 2-3 weeks ago on steam for a couple of quid or something. Amazing game

NO!

Improving the gun play takes away from what the game is! Running away in a creative fashion is what you want not camping in a corner and clearing out a room systematically

The biggest problem with the game was some of the level design getting in the way of "game flow" at one point I was very good at time trials so much so I looked like a bit of a pro free flowing through entire sections, if they made that easier to achieve on a virgin play through it could be very exciting and a lot more fun!

but you need to use a gun at one point! Yes true camping sucks but if the game was designed so you cant camp and you can free run and use a gun the odd time will be cool but keeping it to a minimal.

this one is using the new frostbite engine bf3 uses i think so should be very nice looking

maybe we get some enhanced destruction and physics without actually owning a nvidia physics card like in mirror's edge 1.

well u can, at like 3fps

I quite liked the clumsyness of the gunplay tbh, made the character feel like they kinda knew how to use a gun, but not some trained killer or soldier like in other games.

I will be looking for more hand to hand combat and stealth, rather than using guns etc...

I just want more free running abilities, maybe a way to disarm enemies while still retaining motion would be cool...

First game was great. Picked it up for £20 on day of release and loved it. Was a breath of fresh air, you don't see much original games these days. This year has been full of sequels. And 2012 is set for a bunch of sequels as well. L.A Noire was a nice touch to the year though.
