Mis sold vehicle with 2 sets of void warranty

They have to honour it if they sold it with a warranty. What a previous owner did is irrelevant. I think the law would agree.

Otherwise you're entitled to a refund as it's not as advertised.

Anyway, these are wet belt engines. They all seem to have problems.
Exactly this. It's the finance company or garages problem. The OP bought it with a warranty. If the garage didn't take the necessary care to ensure that warranty was backed by the manufacturer then that is their problem, not the OP's. Ultimately the work could be paid for by the OP and then the money recovered through the small claims court (or whatever it's called now. But I would write to the garage you purchased it from, copying the finance company, and saying they advertised it with a manufacturer warranty and you would not have purchased the car without one. State that if that is now void due to the lack of care the garage toom in checking the vehicles history then you expect the work to be completed at the garages cost.
