Mitsubishi Evo 5

Thanks for the comments :)

This is another shot similar to 10, I think I prefer this one, as the alloys are a bit lighter, and it's tad sharper :)

Lovely work, but I think played with in PS could have looked better.

for example, to me on my monitor, this looks very undersaturated.

However with a bit of PS post processing...

Maybe it's a monitor issue, from where I'm sitting you've butchered it, the colours in the PS'd pic look awful.

yeah bit overdone here too, but monitors do differ so who's to say, still excellent photos of an excellent motor.

any chance of any hi res for a desktop m8, ill understand if u say no.

Yeh that edited image is way over saturated. My monitor is calibrated too, I admit some of the shots are a tad under saturated, but that was deliberate to avoid the yellow overexposing or looking odd.

Nalla - Which shot would you like? And widescreen or normal aspect?

I tihnk its a mix of both, i think the original could use something, but the "new one" is too far imo

On my non calibrated monitor (set to game mode btw) it just looks like an HDR... (my edit). The original looks like a faded yellow car.

no 1 is my favourite m8 normal will be fine, much appreciated, love evos, trying to pursuade the missus to let me have one.

I think the images look under saturated also (calibrated here). Very over saturated in twoblacklines's edit mind, somewhere in-between would be good.

The problem is the rig shots look really soft (on account of the camera moving during the exposure no doubt), not a lot you can do about it I suppose, but a little more contrast/saturation and a whack of 'clarity' in LR would sharpen them up. IMO of course.

I know someone who's selling an Evo VI :)

If you have trouble persuading the missus, the Evo VI I shot a few weeks ago was a 4 door with a baby seat in the back so you see...they're family cars too :D

oh i know they can be family cars too, its just the running costs thats a problem with the older ones, the service intervals are something like every 4000 miles, whereas the new evo x are now 10000 mile intervals, was hoping for a newer one maybe 07/08 as i currently have a 57 reg, could buy an older one for what my car is worth.

I've got a couple of questions if you don't mind. Which battery packs do you use to power your lights? I can see the one on the floor on the right, presumably you power both lights from that? Also, with 500W flashes, do you find yourself edging towards full power outside in daylight or have you got power to spare?

Thanks :)
