Mitsubishi Shogun 3000 V6 SWB 96 on a P with the square headlights etc Red over Silver with 136k up it.

I Love these & one has come up cheap. Has anybody owned one or have any knowledge of them ? How much would it be worth ? What's the price of spares etc.
Condition wise it's Mint inside & out & drives Perfect. I don't do many miles these days so I'm not bothered about MPG to much. I reckon a decent set of tyres & some off road fun is in order. :D
Cheers for any help in advance.

Horrible colour, not too sure about the petrol but diesels are bullet proof.

Check out the power steering pipe, it's in a silly place and rots at the bottom which creates a hole where all the fluid falls out = FAIL!

Easy enough replacement a bit fiddly and dirty, worst part is the price of the pipe is nearly £300 from Mitsubishi, I managed to get one from eBay for £20.

A 97 Petrol SWB with 136k miles on maybe a grandish at the most I would imagine, trade I would pay £500 for one.

I sold a 98 2.8 Diesel LWB with 140k on for £1500 as the diesel is the one to have.

Oh and check the chassis for rot!

malc when did you change your user name? I've been wondering where you got too.

Let the stalking continue.

I quite like the shogun as 4x4's go, Mitsubishi petrol engines are amazing btw.

Cheers Dude.

keep the pos polo

Please try to keep up. :D

Aren't these pretty damn expensive to fix when something goes wrong?

Yes & I will be taking it Off road, Green laning & to Pay & Play sites. + :D

Picked truck up this morning, It's on me drive.

Ive got a K plate V6 Shogun only the 12v im assuming P-plate its got the 24v lump? Its a lot smoother and more grunt than mine!

I take mine off road and touch wood its not let me down yet.

Having the indepentant front suspension is a bit restrictive compared to what you've had before (Zooks and a defender if i remember rightly?)

I am planning on gassing mine soon as its thirsty with the mud tyres.

Head over to pocuk.com the forums there are invaulable and we are a friendly bunch :D

Looks nice how much did it set you back if you dont mind me asking?

Just needs a lift and some muds now :D (LWB rear springs and wind the front torsions bars for cheap lift)

Cost me 800 quid. I've just been down & sorted the puncture out in the spare & checked all my levels etc. Going down South to see my Daughter/Grandson tomorrow so it'll get a good test run.

That's good to know, Cheers. I have 2 Grizzly claws to go on, I just got to find 2 more.

Nice , my father in laws got a Montero sport ( Shogun over there ). Well he did until some guy driving a pick up ran in the back of him last week.
Hes stuck driving the Hummer now :(

Looks nice malc, what you doing with the skoda now then? I'll look forward to taking a glance at this on my way to work, we used to have a shogun and it was awesome! Do they still have the rear side arm rests in them?

Yes mate still has the rear arm rests with built in cup holders. :p

Did over 280 miles on a round trip to my Daughters & back today, Drove mint & didn't skip a beat, This ones a keeper.

Skoda will be up for sale shortly.

Also have a Shogon (Pajero) 3.8l LWB. Can't reccomend them enough, great off and on road, come top in the reliability indexes and cheapish parts too.

Pick Up has been up For Sale for 24 hours now & they are all over it, I've had to put a few chaps off as I have a bloke coming down in the morning. He's just rung for the 3rd time to confirm from a house number so I'm confident.
Sorted a decent price for the 2 off road tyres I need so if the Dude cashes me out the morrow then Monday morning I'll be down getting kitted out with some Knobblys. :D

I've had an Email off one of the Pay&Play sites I go letting me know about a Boxing Day Bash  Can't think of owt I want to do more on Boxing day than going Pay&Play, On site Cob wagon, Loads of others there, very chilled & decent tractor types about to pull me out when i get stuck.
