MK vs DC Universe

Looks fairly decent, definitely like it has gone back to the old style of MK, mostly 2D oriented. Some of the new features look fun like that throw mini game thing. Snapping arms will be cool :D

Also I'm glad to hear about the emphasis on player created combos and the 'professional' versions of moves and combinations of moves for the hardcore players to utilise.

Release date is November.

OH GOD, SERIOUSLY. You gimps will find ANY WAY to knock MK. Who CARES about the that stupid crap. And anyway fact is it's impossible to integrate MK and DC whilst maintaining lore. It's a fighting game, for beating the crap out of people, who cares about how they plan to explain how superman can be damaged by things other than kryptonite. IT'S IRRELEVANT BULL****. **** YOU.
 
Once you have tried the fatalities your left with a weak fighting game. The only reason anyone played it back in the late 80's was because of the gore. It was all I ever heard about. How violent it was.

That novelty soon wore off. It wasn't even good in the 80's let alone bothering with the format now.

I actually think this looks quite good, Saw the E3 vids, did find it strange that superman got a bloody face, but it's forgiveable, because as i said, I dont think it looks half bad lol

Take a look at the character strategy guides for UMK3 on that website, and watch the videos at the bottom of the page for each guide, and then tell me that it's a weak fighting game, with no depth...etc. You won't be able to.

Seriously though, I didn't post this to knock the game as whole, it just made me laugh. Can you honestly not see the funny side of "Superman's weakness is magic"?

All fighting games have characters better than others, especially when you get into deep competitive play which these guides are written around. I don't know of a single fighting game where this is not the case.

But anyway, it's only the guide writers opinion that he is the by far best character. The reality is he's not like some super unbeatable character. He's definitely one of the best but he's not super overpowered and dominating. There's plenty of matches you can watch featuring some of the top players and Kabal loses many, many times.

Watch these videos. These are basically some of the best UMK3 players around (Including the guy that wrote the character guides on that website)

4 matches featuring Kabal here, and he loses 3. What of that what you will.
 
KittensCake you need to lighten up. Just because others are tired of the MK series or think this DC thing is ass, doesn't mean they are wrong.

Some of us will not buy it and it's clear you will. Deal with it.

That's just consistent with the Superman universe though his weakness has always been kryptonite and magic?
 
Replayed mortal kombat last night and i still think this has the potential to becoming a great game. The controversey is their and the gameplay looks ace.
