Hi all,
I've recently bought a 2007 Mk4 Mondeo Titanium X 2.5L beast, and I’d like to upgrade a couple of things.
I've been having a lot of issues with crappy FM radio signal and my head unit doesn't have DAB
The unit has Bluetooth for phone but doesn’t support audio. I have read that if you replace the Bluetooth module to a later unit, this enables the Bluetooth audio as can be seen here:

I would also like to somehow either improve the FM signal, so I can get better reception and receive more radio stations. Or, install a way of using DAB in the car. I have seen a couple of solutions, one options is to replace the 6-disk changer (which I never use) with a tuner which results in each "track" being a different DAB station.
another solution was similar but used an FM frequency to host the DAB signal

Has anyone implemented any of these solutions? or have any better ones? I know the later Mondeo models supported DAB but possibly not with this head unit.
the other question is, do I need to update my firmware to support the new Bluetooth module? And subsequently if I do that will my nav DVD not be supported anymore?
Firmware Version:

Example of the unit i have from another thread (i have "type2")
