I have my VXR booked into Thorney Motorsport for a stage 2, which includes a Remus exhaust and a remap, should see around 280bhp and 430nm. This is on the 25th so I hope all goes well so I can make the meet.

i was supposed to be having my remap done last weekend

but the car is only making 220bhp and the dealers cant find any issues with it as theres nothing else wrong other than small dyno numbers.

Seems we've all got issues !

so its lost 50 bhp or so i think. But it feels fine ? im taking it to a local tuner who has a maha dyno to compare. I wonder how much of that lost 50bhp was due to heat soak

It was a boiling hot day, and the car arrived after a 4 hour non stop drive from leeds. Not exactly "fresh"

50bhp is a lot to lose due to heatsoak. You're running a closed airbox aren't you?

I'd probably lose 20bhp on a very hot day with an open cone filter.

Crap dyno? Did any other cars run?

no i was down there to get it mapped

first car on the dyno @ about 9am ish.

they refused to map it as the engine wasnt healthy and said it was a recipe for disaster to remap an unhealthy car (which makes sense)

just struggling to get it fixed atm as dealers dont wnat to know because theres no fault codes showing

think i may just buy the part myself and get a quick dyno from the local tuner round here to confirm its back to 276 rather than waiting for dealers to fanny about.

i'd go back to powerstation for an accurate reading to see if it has lost any as all rollers are different.

theres a local tuner to me that uses the same maha dyno that powerstation use

granted it wont be exactly the same as its a different day, different temperatures etc..

but should easily show if the car is massively unhealthy or not. 2 or 3 bhp will not be unhealthy

unless it matches the tuners dyno and shows im massively down.
