He's up, fine and he's gone to check if there's any more personal belongings he can retrieve from the car.
I recovered his 1D from the middle of the car and I highly suspect that's what clouted him in the head. You can laugh at my huge door mat in the boot but it keeps things from flying round the car!

Nasty crash glad everthing worked out of in the end and no real damage was done to youself!
Few things though.
A) i'm not sure its a good idea to post pictures / what happened or a video on the internet
B) if the insurance company can claim you had been racing they might not pay out
c) the police will become involved again
D) whoever was around him at the time he crashed could be prosecuted
E) few of you could be done for dangerous driving
Just my view on the situation, just watch out, wouldn't like to see you 10k out of pocket and someone to get a ban or points.

I agree, however its up to him as he was the only one driving everyone else was in the car park.
I agree somewhat, however there were only 3 cars moving at the time and everyone else was in the car park - nobody had any passengers either and we weren't 'racing' as he was going the opposite way and myself and AGW were at either end of the section of road we were using (I think, unless he had turned around by that point and was in the car park?).
It is fairly clear cut as a fault accident as nobody else was involved so the insurance company should be fairly straightforward in making the payout imo.
I don't see what could be done for dangerous driving? Unless there is video footage then all we have are photographs of us in a couple of car parks and then 2 moving shots.

If he's gone to a car meet inorder to drive fast down these roads or if this thread can prove in anyway this is the reason for the meet then the insurance company may well try it on, furthermore if the insurance company ask around the people around the road at that time and someone says, "ah yes those guys who had bene overtaking everyone and driving fast".
This thread is an easy source for information for them, if it was me who crashed i would have requested that no photos or videos to be posted, limited chat other than saying someone had crashed and he was ok, actually when i crashed my saxo i requested non of my mates chatted about it on the net until everything was sorted out.
Just thinking how an insurance company might be thinking about this, young driver / high collision road, why was he around that road and what was he doing, it all depends if they want to go down this road, for 10 or so k its prolly not worth it but you never know.

But like you say the situation changes somewhat because you guys hadn't been on the road at the same time etc.
I would also like to say i've been to some of the original meets and other than a chance for mates to meet up and talk about cars and have a nice meal i didn't get the impression at any point or see anyone driving in a manor that would indanger anyone else or himself on the roads.

Oh don't get me wrong, I know exactly where you're coming from! You hear of endless tales where insurance companies/police look at forums and websites to get extra information to prosecute the parties involved.

I can see where you're coming from with that Mark and some very good points. Although the video would actually show that there was no one 'racing' at the time of the incident.
Darryn went out in his car so that some of the other guys could take drive-by shots, I did the same but went in the opposite direction to Darryn.

i love fact this is somet ocuk frown up on, if i posted in a week saying i crashed from being daft on the road and im trying my best to get insurance to pay out
i would get a rate roasting off ocuk lot haha and same with 99% of other ocuk lot would aswell
